1. Use the correct chemicals. Only use bromine and not chlorine. 2. The bromine is usually in a crystal or tablet form. These have to be dissolved before addung them to the hot tub. Use a couple of gallons from your hot tub to dissolve them in. 3. To make sure that the chemicals mix thoughout the hot tub add them slowly while the jets are on. Make sure to add the chemicals one at a time. 4. Do not be afraid to check your chemicals often. It can save you money in the long run. You should check your chemicals at least once a week whether you have gone in or not. It is recommended that you check chemical levels everytime you use it. 5. Watch for low pH. It can cause wrinkles to occur in the vinyl. It can also cause damage to the heater and void your warrenty. 6. The recommended water chemistry ranges are pH 7.4 -7.6 , total allcalinity 80- 120 ppm , calcium hardness 150 - 250 ppm, bromine residual 2 -3 ppm, and total dissolved solids below 1500 ppm 7. A bromine feeder may need holes. If this is the case. Make a hole one the top and one on the bottom. After you have done this. You then put the feeder in the hot tub water. Check your bromine levels. If it is at 2-3 ppm. The level is fine. If not you should add another hole at the bottom and check the level again in two days. 8. The last step is to clean your hot tub about every three months. That should also depend on how much you use it. Do not use harsh cleansers. Just use a mild soap.
