For us women, there seems to be more pressure about removing body hair than their used to be. Although it does the job, shaving doesn't leave you feeling silky smooth. However, hot wax hair removal can give professional grade results that we crave. This is becoming the method of choice for women everywhere that want a silky smooth finish that doesn't disappear the next day.
So why has this method of unwanted hair removal stood the test of time so well? There are some downsides to waxing away unwanted hair growth but there are some great benefits too. It's not just the finish it gives but wax removal is also less expensive than many of the more modern approaches. Using a razor isn't the most pleasant of ways to remove unwanted hair and not very nice when you cut yourself! You can almost guarantee that if you cut yourself, it's right before you're going out. I think the poor guys have it worse though, having to shave everyday and still getting the 5 O'clock shadow, something that we girls don't have to worry about if we use wax removal. Hot wax hair removal systems also make the hair grow back thinner and thinner over time. Shaving doesn't come anywhere near as close and the more I wax the better. The razor on the other hand has the strange effect of ensuring you have to use it more often as the hair grows back quicker each time you shave. There really isn't that much pain involved in the process, the hot wax hair removal approach isn't as bad as it is portrayed. If you compare it to products like the Epilady, you definitely understand that hot wax is superior. Unless you are a devout masochist, I would suggest you stay clear of this tiny but painful instrument. I remember using an Epilady once and that was enough; I lasted a couple of seconds and then threw it in the trash can. One of my college room mates who was born in the country of India recommended that I go with her when she has her next hot wax hair removal treatment. It only took the one visit to convince me and I haven't used any other method since that time. It's ironic really when you consider what a poor opinion many people have for wax removal systems. As far as I'm concerned it is superior to all the other methods out there but perhaps I am biased!
