REM sleep or Dreaming sleep is something which is associated with snoring. Why snoring takes place is an interesting subject and a lot of research has been done on this. We will be discussing snoring in this article.
But first, we must look at what happens when we're awake. During the day, we gather tension in our body. Not only do we become physically tired and tense, an emotional tension is also stored in our muscles.

During our sleep the breathing passage gets blocked by the muscle tension. This is what causes early night snoring. After some time snoring stops for a while as our muscles relaxes a little.
When we are in light sleep, it is called as REM sleep. This is the segment where dreaming occurs. When we are in the REM sleep, we amalgamate all the informations and experiences we had the previous day. Our subliminal takes all the sentiments that are stored in the body muscles. Just think what would be happening to the muscles while this is going through.
Sadly, the tension doesn't get released from our muscles during REM sleep. The conclusion our subconscious makes, may even be that these muscles need to be kept tense to freeze any emotion the following day. This can make the snoring trouble even worse.

Its obvious that the current methods used in dealing with snoring target only the most apparent symptoms.
