Contrary to what you may have heard, the best products for a home business entrepreneur to sell are NOT low-priced products.

If you want to make a lot of money with your home business, the best products to sell are those priced at over a $1000. That’s right. And here is why.

Price is an Indicator of Value

If you think about it, price is more than how much money YOU want to charge. It is an indicator that tells the customer how much the product is WORTH. And if you’ve got a truly outstanding product – I mean the kind of product you would buy yourself (by the way, if you wouldn’t buy your product, don’t sell it.) – the price reflects the VALUE of the product.

Consider this scenario. You’re shopping for sunglasses at Barneys New York or Nordstrom or some other high end store. And you come across a pair of Versace sunglasses for $10.99. What is your first thought? Do you assume there is something wrong with the glasses? Do you wonder if the sales person put the decimal point in the wrong place? Do you think Barneys has lost its mind?

The reason those questions occur to you is because you know the “value” of Versace, and you are more than willing to pay for it. In fact, most people wouldn’t buy the pair for $10.99 (assuming the glasses were correctly marked).

The Amount of Effort is the Same

Whether you are selling women’s shoes for $29.99 on the Internet or a personal improvement product for $1495.00 -- the amount of effort and money you spend to draw customers to your web site is pretty much the same.

Now, doesn’t that make you think? Wouldn’t you rather sell a product WORTH $1495.00 (and make, say $1000 per sale) than sell a pair of shoes for $29.99 and make ~$10.00 per pair?

Now, quite honestly, it is likely you will sell more shoes than you will high end product. But if you have to sell 100 pairs of shoes to equal one personal improvement product, it’s still pretty clear that the high end product will make you more money -- while your marketing costs remain the same.


What Kinds of Products Hold a Value of $1000+?

Here is where it gets interesting. The kinds of products that people are most willing to spend money on are things that help them improve their lives or themselves, or make them more money. Things that:

Give them more time – time with their families, time to do the things they want to do
Enable them to grow personally – to become the person they have always wanted to be
Help them create wealth - to achieve their financial goals

. . . .These products, by the way, require minimal shipping and fulfillment, so are in many cases less expensive to sell than commodities like shoes and books.

So when you are searching for a home business opportunity, look for OUTSTANDING products that help people improve their lives and help them make more money– with a price that reflects their VALUE.
