Searches every day are being made on search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc for terms like surveys for cash, online paid surveys, survey money, surveys for dollars and more.

Over the years this has become a very popular way to earn money, while remaining in the comfort of your home. I think one of the reasons it is so popular is because the task required fall well within our comfort zone. Most of us answer emails every day and we feel quite comfortable giving our opinion.

A few years back a bunch of major corporations realized they could find out what the end user of their products like and disliked regarding the products and services they had to offer. They realized there was a major cost savings to be had if they could get the opinion of their consumers before a product was sold and often times still in the pre-market stages.

Think about it they can pay people who either use or would be interested in using their products a minimal fee for giving them feedback as to what they like about current products and what they would like to see in new products and services. These companies are saving millions of dollars in research and design, improving their reputation, and further building and strengthening their customer base.

It's a win-win situation for everyone involved. You may be wondering what do you have to do to start earning from these companies. Well there are two ways to approach this and they are as follows:

1. You could search around join a bunch of companies and start taking tons of surveys in hopes of making moneys. Some do quite well this way and other fail miserably. Why is that you may ask? Well many of the companies will pay you with entries into sweepstakes instead of real cash. People get frustrated when they don't start earning money and quit. Other times they join bad companies or scam artists that simply waste their time.

2. The second way is to join what I call a Paid Survey Directory Company. A good paid survey directory company will tell you which companies pay you in cash, sweepstakes entries or both. They give you the power to choose. They also teach you an organized approach to earning money taking surveys for a living. They help you avoid the common pitfalls and often times remove bad companies from their list of survey companies so you do not even see them. This approach saves you time and money and improves your chances for success in my opinion.

When joining a Paid Survey Directory they charge a minimal fee, but I feel it is well worth it in time saved. I compare it to when I buy a self-help book on how to do some project around the house. I may have been able to do the job on my own, but I am taught and organized approach, given step-by-step instructions and it helps me avoid common mistakes made by many amateurs.

It is important to do your research even with these companies as the scam artists are waiting to relieve you of some hard earned cash. I recommend either using a website like mine, but not necessarily mine, that has done some research for you or be prepared to do the research yourself.

Use a separate e-mail address, if possible, so you can send all of your survey e-mails to one place. This way you don't fill up your personal e-mail box with survey request. Most of the time our e-mail provider will allow you between 5 - 10 email addresses.

Take your time research, join, read the step-by-step guidance, work hard, exercise patience and enjoy taking surveys for money.
