Ned, the main character in the show, is blessed with an amazing power to bring people back to life, but this blessing is also somewhat of a curse. He learned about this gift as a young boy, but it was a lesson that was learned the hard way for sure. His gift, while it allows him to bring people back from the dead by touching them, it can also kill them. He brings them back to life by touching them, but if he is to touch them again they are gone forever. He lost his mother at a young age, but was able to bring her back to him only to lose her again when he kissed her goodnight later that same day.
