A friend of mine on limited resources told me that he is going to buy a brand new car so that he can get improved Fuel Efficiency and save cash on gasoline!
I presume desparate times call for desparate remedies but there was undoubtedly considerable irony in my friend’s solution. Sort of a “cut off my nose to spite my face” solution! “I am going to go broke so as to save money” is how it relayed to the short circuited synapses in my brain! But it does illustrate a point which is that America’s “addiction to oil” is much more genuine than global warming or the official story on 911 - scorned at least in part by more than 2/3rds of the American people. And that many folks will do many wacky and crazy things to kick the habit. If Bush can declare that we are “addicted to oil”, if Nobel Peace Prize” Winner Henry Kissinger and Greenspan can admit that the Iraq war is all about oil ,as they have, then perhaps we need to kick the habit and cure our addiction for more reasons than simply saving a few pennies per gallon of gasoline but because of more urgent humanitarian reasons. So what can you and I do? One has to be able to drive to where they work. One has to live one’s life. Most are not well suited to live in caves or igloos or ride camels. Well one of the remedies is to get more hydrogen into your fuel mix. It is a fact that many people have found ways to do this and found that their vehicle ran cooler and optimized the gas usage to the point of needing 1/3rd of the gasoline that they needed before. There are many approaches to do this, some are better than others but it just takes the smallest amount of research and one can be on their way. And that would positively make a difference, give one the feeling that they were doing something effective about their addiction and aiding mankind at the same time.
