Charlie "Tremendous" Jones began his career in insurance in his early 20's. Within one year, he was awarded a Most Valuable Associate Award, and within ten years, he received the company's highest management award. He later went on to start his own consulting business, Life Management Services.
Charlie Jones isn't all insurance. He has authored nine books and is a motivation and leadership speaker the likes of which no one has ever seen. He is most known for his book "Life Is Tremendous". Charlie's life is so tremendous that he has a passion for helping unfortunate children.
As if that weren't enough, Charlie Jones is also somewhat of an expert on marriage. He believes the key to a healthy marriage is commitment, not love. A spouse needs someone who is willing to stick with it through the long haul even when the going gets tough. Someone who marries only for love is in for a rude awakening.
Who you know and what you know - that's what makes the difference between who you are today and who you'll be in five years. You can't become something you know nothing about, so Charlie encourages people to meet others and to read books. Find out what your passions are, and then find people with similar passions. Learn something new every day.
So, what makes Charlie Jones a "Tremendous" Charlie Jones? It's a nickname that embarrasses him, actually. When someone buys a new car or has a new baby, the first word out of Charlie's mouth is, "Tremendous!" People started calling him Tremendous and the name stuck.
Charlie feels that the name Tremendous sounds like the name of a wrestling star or football legend. He'd rather be referred to as "Learning Jones" or "Thankful Jones". He has a sincere heart, is thankful to God for every one of life's blessings and challenges, and he truly enjoys helping others. His goal in life is to pass on that passion to others.
Why is Charlie so thankful? He grew up in the 1930's, a time when even the rich were poor. His parents sent him and his siblings to church (although they chose not to attend with the children), and so his faith in God sprang from the love he saw in his Sunday school teacher. In return, Charlie Jones now brings poor children to his estate home to entertain them with carnival rides and hot dogs.
Charlie's love of God doesn't take away his respect for people who worship other religious icons. He's a very non-offensive person who never waters down his religious beliefs and expects others to hold true to theirs in his presence as well. Love is in the center of everyday life for Charlie Jones. Spreading love is what he does best.
