Ignatius Piazza Trains Students To Use Instincts

This Culture and Society Article is Brought To You By - Jayden Adams

Ignatius Piazza created Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, located in Nevada, and has trained more people, novices and experienced alike than any other firearms institute in the nation. Often violent crimes are committed by strangers, but just as often friends or family commits them. Places like Front Sight, thanks to Ignatius Piazza, teach students how to be aware of their surroundings and use their gut instincts to prepare for danger.

Arlene and Seymour Tankleff were killed one night when someone they knew beat and slashed them to death. Their son, Martin, was imprisoned after being convicted of the crimes in 1990, but new evidence pointing to another man caused the court to vacate his conviction. As soon as the bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Tankleff were found, Martin Tankleff accused his father’s business partner, Jerard Steuerman, of the home invasion. Tankleff and his friends have complained for years that the police never investigated Mr. Steuerman as a suspect even though he owed Seymour Tankleff $500,000, was in the house the night of the attacks, left suicide notes a week later, changed his appearance and fled to California under another name.

Arlene and Seymour Tankleff were not expecting to die that night, nor were they prepared to use self-defense to save their lives. If they had formal training from a place like Front Sight, they might be alive today. Ignatius Piazza created Front Sight for the sole purpose of training every person in the nation how to use their body and mind to fight attackers and defend their lives. Ignatius Piazza created Front Sight for people like the Tankleff’s, who could not have predicted their fate on that night.

The new evidence implicates three ex-convicts in the killings and accuses them of working with Steuerman. Under oath, Mr. Steuerman and two of the ex-convicts have denied any guilt, though other witnesses said that the men have admitted involvement. The other accused man has said he was the getaway driver for the attackers.

Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight Firearms Institute teaches only top-notch and the most up-to-date defense techniques to beginners as well as seasoned gun owners. The classes are “taught by seasoned and professional law enforcement, military and private citizen instructors to levels that far exceed law enforcement and military standards, without any boot camp mentality or drill instructors attitudes.”

It may seem impossible that a middle-age couple would survive an attack by two street smart ex-convicts and one desperate business partner, but with proper training from Front Sight, the couple would have learned how to tag team these monsters by using their wits, their bodies, and their guns. Firearms are a controversial way to protect oneself in this country, but Ignatius Piazza’s goal is to educate the United States on the benefit of knowing how to use a gun for self-defense. A misconception is that only criminals use guns; a new definition should include good citizens of the United States use guns wisely and for self-defense against attackers who aim to harm.
