Jill Selmonsky, 46, from St Louis is taking matters into her own hands! She has originated some effective handlings on her own to reduce her gasoline consumption. One action that she is taking is trying to run all her errands at once, rather than getting them done on several trips.. She also tries to arrange meetings for her dog grooming company, to be at non-rush hour times so she doesn't let gasoline burn sitting in traffic. She guesses she is now able to make her auto’s gasoline last two
She is not alone. Government figures show consumers are using less gasoline since prices starting rising 4 years ago.
Some gasoline saving actions are more effective than others
Let’s look at some that get results.
Comparison shopping -
For instance, you will usually find cheaper gasoline in the outlying suburbs than downtown. Wealthy areas will usually have more expensive gasoline. Gas stations near major freeway exits can be more expensive than stations further away. You can sometimes save by driving a few blocks from the freeway to find a lower price.
Seek out savings that are available. Many filling stations have coupons available for discounts on gasoline purchases. These coupons can be found in various places, like the back side of grocery store receipts, in the mail coupons, internet coupons. Many filling stations will give you a discount on gasoline with the purchase of a car wash, or visa versa. A great way to save money on gasoline is by using a gasoline rebate credit card. Some of these cards can be used at virtually any gasoline station. A number of filling station-specific cards are available, but are much more limiting, since you only get a discount at the same brand station.
TELECOMMUTE –
Telecommuting (working from home as an employee of a company) is good for the environment, makes for less rush hour traffic, is good for the family and uses less on gasoline. Try to get the boss to allow you to telecommute at least part of your work time.
Convert Your Engine From gasoline to Hydrogen –
If you do a partial (hybrid) conversion then you can expect to see savings on your gasoline consumption of up to 30% maybe more. If you do a full conversion then you will never have to pump another gallon of gasoline for the rest of your life. It is very simple to do and costs next to nothing.
