This Cars and Trucks Article is Brought To You By - Kathy Austin

The Japanese automaker, Honda, had made it into market its new SI series. SI, which stands for "Sport Injected", had made its way to North American and Japanese car buyers very well. It is taunted as the most powerful model for Civic compared to the other ones that are in the market today.

The origins of Honda Civic SI can be traced back in 1984 when it first debuted. As Honda entered the dawn of the millennium, it revolutionized and redesigned the said model but retaining its hatchback in the year 2002. Its body shape was the product of the inception of the concept "New Bullet-form". The goal of the manufacturer is to create a dynamic appearance of the car as well as a more stabilize car for highways and even to the most rugged country road.

This design has been otherwise known as "Cult Car". This rapid design had attracted many enthusiasts. The new Honda Civic SI had adopted the engine "K-series" and the power plant known as K20A3 i-VTEC. The performance level of the newly redesigned Civic SI has been giving dismay to some fanatics.

There was a switch from a double-wish suspension to McPherson struts. It gave the car less of its sporty character. There was even an increase of approximately 150 pounds to its weight that affected the performance level of Honda Civic SI as to its speed along the road.

In 2006, Honda Civic SI came to another redesign to its previous predecessors bringing in significant changes. The new design of Civic SI had a 2.0 i-VTEC engine which led to produce 197 horsepower and a 6-speed manual transmission. In 2007, Honda introduced another model which is Honda Civic SI sedan. It had its grand entrance to the market on Chicago Auto Show. The changes that include to the 2007 model are: vehicle stability assist, body-color-grille, darker silver wheels, deck lid spoiler, and the reversal of the color scheme of black or red as secondary gauges. Even the floor mats of the car have the Honda Civic Si logo which is embroidered right on top.

With sedan becoming more popular, Honda has also introduced its SI version for sedan-type in the year 2007. Buyers take a peak of its market debut at the Chicago Auto Show. Its new version has list of some improvements that includes vehicle stability assist, body-color-grille, darker silver wheel, deck lid spoiler, and a reversal of the color scheme of black or red as the secondary gauges. Perhaps, one might also be shocked when he sees the embroidered Honda Civic SI logo on its floor matting.

For the new 2008 model, the Honda Civic SI underwent some minor changes such as: the coupe has a revised spring rate, the upper arm contained a new rear, and sensor monitor which is tire pressured.

Honda Civic SI has underwent several redesigns since 1984 up to the present year, still it never stopped to develop and improve its design to suit to the needs of the fanatics of Civic SI. Alongside with this nice and edgy car, it is nice to compliment with any Honda Civic SI keychains that can be found in the market. It is a good accessory to match with such a beautiful car that has a sporty edge. Honda Civic SI and a beautiful keychain is a wonderful and perfect combination for having the car that fits your lifestyle.
