In a perfect world, marriage would be a total union of the heart, mind, soul and bank accounts. But in the long list of major decisions in a marriage, when to have children has got to be at the top of that list. Nowadays, couples have become more and more liberated and open-minded about the complicacies and hardships of maintaining a good and harmonious marriage.

Complacency like many other common marriage problems is a bit like the plague. One of the most common marriage problems in recent times is entering into marriage with the expectation that it is likely to fail. And other one of the common marriage problems, which often materializes early on in a relationship, is boredom.

Like most common marriage problems if you are prepared to make an effort loss of intimacy in a marriage is relatively easy to resolve but the further apart you allow yourselves to grow the harder it is to get that marriage back on track. The counseling

The sad fact is that far too many people wait too long before going for marriage counseling. So you have come to the decision that in order to save your marriage or at the very least improve it, you need to get some professional help in the form of counseling. Most of us have a certain idea about marriage counseling - we usually think of it as a modern idea, having grown out of the increase in divorces.

While marriage counseling isn't an instant fix by any means, if the counselor can help both spouses understand where the other is coming from, that can be a big step in the right direction. Another strike against marriage counseling is manifest in an old joke among marriage therapists: We all have skid marks at the door where the husband is being dragged in.

For starters, include the day you met your spouse, your wedding day, your partner's birthday, your birthday, New Year's, Valentine's Day, and any other dates that have significant meaning or cause for celebration. The commitment you made to your spouse and marriage on your wedding day was certainly important-and it counts for a lot. I also thought that if you knew that your spouse was 'the one' and if you really, really loved your spouse, then your marriage would be easy.
