Front Sight and U.S. Supreme Court Likely in Agreement

This Business Article is Brought To You By - Jayden Adams

Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is America's largest gun training school, Front Sight trains more students annually than all other major shooting schools combined. The founder and director of Front Sight, Ignatius Piazza, has taken a lot of stands in his history as the leader of the firearms training school that leads the nation, and his most recent is concerning the U.S. Supreme Court and its upcoming case which concerns all of America at a very real level. Though it probably wouldn't surprise many if Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight's thoughts on the matter of the case coincides precisely with how the U.S. Supreme Court will rule.

The case which the U.S. Supreme Court will be ruling on, and that Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight are so interested in is a case concerning the Second Amendment rights of all Americans, and in particular those of the District of Columbia, where a handgun ban prevents citizens from possessing a handgun anywhere in D.C. The handgun ban also requires that all shotguns and rifles in the District of Columbia be rendered inoperable - even in private residences. Ignatius Piazza, Front Sight, and all their students and nearly all Americans are understandably opposing the District of Columbia ban. For a government to restrict the rights of its citizens to bear arms, especially in their own homes, is deplorable and backwards.

Some opponents of his view would point at an individual like Ignatius Piazza, with his background so founded in firearms training as it is and say that he is biased because of his gun training history. While Ignatius Piazza's exposure to firearms training does color his view on the decision facing the U.S. Supreme Court, it's certainly not a bias. Front Sight and Ignatius Piazza feel the way they do because they know the success and logical nature of gun training and gun ownership and the danger behind restricting or banning either.

According to Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight, firearms training and gun ownership is something that should be integral to being an American citizen, and any government that attempts to restrict either should be labeled and suppressive and unconstitutional. Ignatius Piazza hopes that the U.S. Supreme Court will view the matter in as straightforward a manner as he has. A citizen must be able to defend himself - personal responsibility is a key foundation of our Constitution - and if a government attempts to stop a citizen from being responsible for his own safety, that government is acting outside of its capacity.

The need to defend oneself is only one aspect of Front Sight's argument for the need of gun training and gun ownership. Front Sight also hopes the U.S. Supreme Court will realize that the Second Amendment was as explicit and open as it was because the Founding Fathers were worried that the government would try and encroach too far upon people's rights - how unfortunate that they were right.

Ignatius Piazza, Front Sight and countless Americans understand the illegality and backwards nature of the District of Columbia's handgun ban. It is America's hope that the U.S. Supreme Court will realize the importance of gun ownership and pave the way for Americans to keep themselves save.
