Have you ever found yourself staring out of a window lost in thought, wondering what the rest of the world was like? Have you even woken up one morning to get ready for your boring and mundane job and stopped to ask yourself "what am I doing here?" I have.
We all have these thoughts from time to time, but I found that these thoughts would happen more and more and I suddenly realised that I had to do something about it.
Start to wonder what I needed to do in order to get out of a job that I disliked and to find an overseas job that suits my skills and experience. As I wanted to live somewhere warm. I decided to start my search for a job in the Caribbean.
I started to do some research on the web, it quickly became apparent that I would have to teach myself a great deal so that I could find the right job on the right Caribbean island. There were far more questions than answers, such as which island I want to live on? What are the Visa requirements? What is the standard of living like? What suitable vacancies were available on that island?
After a while, I started to realise that these questions weren't as easy to answer as I had originally thought. I went to thousands of websites, hoping to find the information I was looking for. Most of the time, a handful of sites open at any one time. I was writing everything down, but not really getting anywhere.
I would toggle from one job-listing site to another, then over to a site where I could try to find out about living on the islands, then over to another site where I was getting information about getting a Visa.
It was too much. I spent more time trying to remember all the sites that I had visited than I did trying to find those Caribbean jobs. Just when I thought that my level of frustration had reached the nuclear range, I came across my saving grace. I found jobinthesun.com. This site has everything! It has tons of listing for jobs in the Caribbean, in every category you can think of (hotels, administrative, construction, etc).
