Candles have been in use for centuries now. At first candles were mainly used as source of light still it is used for the soft light they provide but now they have grown to be much more use. Candles are also used for a pleasurable atmosphere, religious ceremonies & for the romantic touch they have.

Nowadays there are a lot of varieties of candles like Decorative & Designer candles, Scented & Unscented candles, Floating candles, Aromatherapy candles, Pillar candles, Taper or Dinner candles, Container or Filled candles, Tealight candles, Gel candles, molded candles available in the market.

Decorative or Designer candles are often found as beautiful centerpieces for all to enjoy.

Scented Candles

A scented candle is made with fragrant oils mixed into the wax, gives off a pleasant aroma when burning. A better grade of scented candle, called a "triple scent," uses a different blend of wax and fragrance oils. These candles will produce an aroma when burned.

A scented candle melts to oil as they burn neither dripping wax nor releasing smoke, they are made to burn in containers of glass or tin in some cases.

Floating Candles

Floating candles can provide a very calm and stress-free atmosphere especially when scented oils are infused with them. They are available in various shapes n sizes and are designed to float on water they are used in a bowl filled with water.

Container Candles

A Container or filled candle is non-flammable that is poured into a heat resistant container like glass, tins or ceramic pottery, which is filled with wax and wick and is burned in the container for use.

Gel Candles

Gel Candles are jellylike candles that produce a rainbow like shine when lit & are made of gelled mineral oils. It is soft and transparent, rubbery somewhat consistent with Jello. Gels can also be made rigid enough to retain their own shape. Gel Candles can be poured in various shaped containers.

Pillar Candles

These are candles which have been poured into a mold and extracted, usually having a diameter of 2-3 inches. They are free standing with one or more wicks. Pillar candles create a designer's touch wherever they are kept.

Taper Candles

Taper candles are also called dinner candles. They are thin with a length of 6-18 inches tall.

Taper candle should be with a designed candle holder for proper and safe burning.

Tealight Candles

Tealight candles are usually about 1 1/2" in diameter and around 3/4" high inside a cylindrical metal container. These small filled candles are used in food warmers or as candles in a tealight holder.

Aromatherapy candles are designed to assist in reaching meditation, relaxation, stress relief, inspiration, and heightened awareness & utilize natural oils for a variety of benefits.

  • If the candle holder is an open vessel, like a candle stick, always opt for dripless candles.

  • Change the fragrance and colors of your candles with seasons and moods you desire or would like to revive.

  • Use unscented candles on the dining table so the flavor of the meals will not be overwhelmed by the candle's scent.

  • Never leave any burning candle unattended

  • Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.

  • Never burn candles on or near any combustible items .such as paper, cloth, curtains, wood furniture, plastics, etc.
